SOA is Dead, long live Whatever!

In honor of Anne’s declaration that SOA is Dead, I have decided to shut down the SOA CENTER blog site.

I would like to inaugurate my new blog, now called the WHATEVER CENTER at http://www.whatevercenter.com

It will take a while for the URL http://whatevercenter.com to propagate through the DNS, so for the time being, please keep using http://soacenter.com

This new blog will be dedicated to building solutions in large-scale software deployments, architecture, cloud computing, composite applications and of course last but not least:

THE ARTIST FORMERLY KNOWN AS SOA
THE ARTIST FORMERLY KNOWN AS SOA. actually Ron Schmelzer suggested “THE ARCHITECTURE FORMERLY KNOWN AS SOA”, which is equally funny.

In the interim stages where we dont know what to call this thing we are doing with Enterprise Architecture, we will refer to a symbol made by the hands in the shape of a “W” as follows:

WHAT_EVERRRRRRRRRRRRR

Todd Biske suggested a symbol that has something to do with a cloud. I’m not sure I can make a cloud shape with my hands in the insouciant way tweenie kids can and also roll my eyes at the same time. The intention of the “W” hand gesture is to be accompanied by the phrase “wHUT-EVERRRRR”.
